NAIL ART: So Easy A Bunny Could Do It.

This week we breakdown one of our FAVorite nail designs, the Half Moon.  It's a fairly simple design & a perfect gateway design to your nail art addiction.  We encourage you to try & share your pictures with us (email somegirlsbtq@gmail.com). Also anyone wearing our weekly feature while shopping with us will enjoy 15% off their entire purchase!!!!

As always there are a few "PRE PAINTING" steps needed to maintain your cuticles & ensure a BOMB mobile upload.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

·      cotton balls & nail polish remover & small eye liner brush to "clean edges"
·      nail file
·      cuticle oil
·      cuticle pusher backer
·      cuticle cutter
·      1 nail color & 2 precision brush nail colors
·      base coat & top coat

Step 1. Remove old nail polish.
Step 2. File nails.
Now that we have well shaped & clean nails its time touch up our cuticles.
Step 3. Drench your cuticles in cuticle oil, allow time to let them soften.
Step 4. Use nail pusher backer to push back cuticles.
Step 5. BE VERY CAREFUL & use cuticle cutter to remove excess cuticles.
Wash your hands & lets get ready to paint.
Step 6. Apply base coat to all nails.
Step 7. We choose China Glaze “Flip Flop Fantasy” for the base color. Apply 2 coats.
Step 8. Use your main precision brush color to make an outline of half moon. Don’t worry if you get polish on your fingers, we will clean edges later, just try to make smooth lines.
Step 9. Once you have a good outline go back & fill in. This step is made easier with clean cuticles. Do for each nail.

Step 10. Once your Half Moons are complete on both hands…make sure to clean your edges. Some Girl TIP pour out nail polish remover in cap & dunk small eyeliner brush & pretend you are a famous painter, makes you really wanna do them perfectly.
Step 11. Use secondary precision color to make detail outline. If you were feeling super fancy try gluing charms to the outline. #onehopattime.
Step 12. Apply top coat & let dry. & Remember to use a little cuticle oil to moisturize before your mobile upload.

Have fun trying these nails!!!!
Hope you HOP in & show us  your nails this week. & Don't forget to send us your pictures please!!! Sometimes it’s the little things. Remember to do the things that make you happy. & stay tuned for next weeks nails!!!!

Some great things about this look is that there are three, 3! of our staple items here at Some Girls!

Paired over the slip is the fabulous pleated skirt if your looking for a fun addition to your spring wardrobe, A pleated skirt, specifically the accordion pleat, is the fashionable way to go. Inspired by the 1950s, this trend is being reinvented in bold colors and fun prints. In the last Get the Look we showed the unforgettable mustard yellow pleated skirt, shown here in navy with a fun floral sheer vest. Using breezy, see-through fabrics, from delicate chiffons to gauzy knits, designers make even the most conservative styles sizzle. Wear this vest over a dress, jeans and a tank top, or as a bathing suit cover! There are so many ways to show off in this fun floral vest and we can show you how!

Get the Look : April Showers Bring Cute Collars

Alright beauty queens, spring is near and it’s time to show off those sexy legs and update your wardrobe with these looks.
Spring 2012’s statement collars are all the rage right now and here at Some Girls btq we are LOVING it!
Come visit one of 2 locations to have a shopping experience you will never forget!
With our personal stylists and problem solvers we can help you put looks together to help you acquire your own look for this hot new trend that adds a ladylike finish to a look!
  • For a sweeter result, go for a peter pan collar, which means a rounded collar rather than a pointed one.
  • For a crisp look, choose the traditional pointed collar. Experiment with color and print: try a floral blouse under your basic black crewneck sweater and see how it totally updates it.
  • This look works great for evening. Try a collared shirt with embellishment, and tuck it into a pair of sexy leather leggings, or go a bit more proper with a full skirt. Regardless of what you choose on the bottom, people will be drawn to your neckline, so make sure your hair and makeup are spot on.
Another trend we adore is the unmistakable color of mustard yellow! Goodness Gracious our fun little pleated skirt (also available in navy) is flying off the racks!
Mustard doesn’t only taste good, it looks good. Play it up with patterns and different fabrics that’ll help you create a dynamic and head-turnin’ outfit.
Change your wardrobe from bland to bold with this season’s latest color sensation; mustard yellow. The darker brownish tone of the mustard is the perfect way to add a bright color to your outfit, while not being as in-your-face as the sunshine-y yellows of summer. Mustard yellow might be just the thing to add zip to an otherwise bland style, says designer, Michael Kors. Kors says mustard yellow seamlessly transitions all seasons.“Gold, honey, mustard — you can do these colors in (any) fabrics..” he says. “I think mustard has an automatic warmth to it. A lot of the trick of modern fashion is seasonless designs..”

For an easy day-to-night transition, throw on a pair of tuxedo pants and a mustard bandeau for a pop of color.
