Three Awesome Ways to Revamp your Old Tees

Every once in a while, you need to clean out your clothes. Of course, you pull out a bunch of old, ratty shirts where you wonder why you owned them in the first place. Don't worry, it happens to all of us. We found a cute way to recycle those shirts and use them for an updated trend. These DIY projects are easy, simple, & timeless... Not to mention adorable! Get ready to be creative!

1) chic braided headband

Cut two pieces of your shirt, choose colors of your preference!

Then, get a ball chain or any chain to intertwine with the shirt strands. We used an old necklace!

Tie them around a hair elastic & strt to braid. When finished, tie it to the elastic again. Tada! You're done and now you have a fabulous headband to wear with your next outfit!

We went for the classy black & white with a silver chain!

2) stringy statement necklace

This item is perfect with a simple shirt and some jeans. Or go for a bold look with a dress! This is our stringy statement necklace. To make this, you'll need just the old shirt & a pair of scissors.

Cut lots of strands from the shirt, then stretch them out until they start to curl. If they don't curl, find another shirt... we ran into that problem.

Once the strands are cut & stretched, form a figure 8. The length of your necklace will shorten by 1/2 and thats okay!

Then take an extra strand for the clasp. I liked mine to be a little more creative, so I braided it. Now the back of the necklace looks more fun. Feel free to braid some strips and throw it into the figure 8. Play around & make it your own!

Here is your final piece, how cute!

3) What a Work Out Tank!

With summer in full swing, you can't but help to gain a few pounds while indulging in the BBQs, grad parties, ice cream galore, and going out with friends. Once you realize how much you've been devouring, its going to be gym time. How about working out in your new gear including this adorable work out tank?! So simple to make.

First, cut off the sleeves and the lower half of the tee shirt, you don't want your top to be so loose.

When the sleeves are cut off, pull the two sides in the back so we can create a twist with the straps. The sleeves will start to curl but all you need to do is twist and keep twisting until you are half way down your back.

Your tank should look something like this:
